Please be sure to bring ALL of the following forms with you to band camp in order to participate. Students MUST have their physical forms and other necessary paperwork turned into Mr. Crane by their first day of camp attended.

Band Camp Info:

 LECANTO HIGH SCHOOL BAND CAMP 2018
-- Camp is FREE!!! --
Please plan on paying $100 of your students band dues by the last day of camp to go towards immediate needs of the program. New student dues = $225.00 Total ($25.00 for band shoes)
Returning student dues = $200.00 Total


BAND CAMP IS REQUIRED TO BE PART OF THE MARCHING BAND!



Band Camp Dates: Camp takes place at Lecanto High School
7/16/18 = Leadership, All Color Guard, and All Percussion (Including Percussion and Color Guard Rookies) Start Time= 8am Lunch Time= 12-12:30pm End Time= 5pm Leadership End at 12pm
7/17/2018-7/20/2018 = Leadership, All Color Guard, All Percussion, and All New Members Start Time= 8am Lunch Time= 12-12:30pm End Time= 5:00pm
7/23/2018-7/27/2018 = Full Band Camp For Everyone Start Time= 9am  Lunch Time=1:00-1:30pm Dinner Time= 5:00-5:30 End Time= 8pm
7/30/2018 - 8/1/18 = Full Band Camp For Everyone Start Time= 9am Lunch Time= 1:00-1:30pm Dinner Time= 5:00-5:30 End Time= 8pm
8/3/2018 =
Full Band Camp For Everyone = Start Time= 3pm     End Time= 8pm 
8/4/2018 = Full Band Camp For Everyone = Start Time= 9am    Lunch time = 1:00-1:30 Dinner Time = 5:00-5:30  End Time= 8pm 
8/4/2018= Parent Night = Performance Start Time= 7pm Parent Meeting After Performance




What to Bring

Yourself - Attendance is required for a marching spot on the field.

After the third day we will start drill.  You MUST be there to receive a spot.

Failure to attend band camp from the beginning (without direct permission from the band director)

WILL void you of a marching spot on the field, in which only front ensemble positions may be open for audition.



Lunch/Dinner

Make sure you eat breakfast before camp!
Lunch and Dinner ARE NOT PROVIDED!




Clothing -   Wear a short sleeved shirt and light shorts.  NO JEANS!!!  NO jean shorts either.

Please do not wear shirts that will be see through if rained on.

ALL SHORTS AND SHIRTS MUST BE SCHOOL DRESS CODE OR YOU WILL BE SENT HOME OR ASKED TO CHANGE (BOYS AND GIRLS)

You need a Hat and Sun Screen of spf 15 - 30, because it will be very sunny.

TIGHT LACED SNEAKERS are also a must.  NO sandals, flip-flops, crocs, loose laced shoes, etc.

1/2 gallon to 1 gallon water cooler.



Health -    Marching band is a very strenuous activity.  Marching shows are around eight minutes long.

This means we will condition you to be able to run for eight minutes straight.

Every marcher must be able to do this; woodwind, brass, drumline and guard.

Start conditioning now.  Try to walk, jog or run everyday.



Parents Night-  August 4- 7:00pm - 9pm the students will perform on the football field everything they have learned.

Parents will get to see a glimpse of the 2018 show.

Afterwards, will be a short informational meeting
